Our amazing Frazadas have been handwoven from hand-spun sheep wool in small remote villages near Cusco using a traditional back strap loom. Two pieces of cloth are made to the width of the loom and then sewn together. It takes over a month to make them. They are super thick and each is one-of-a-kind in color and design. They can be used as rugs, throws, bed coverings, picnic blankets, or wall hangings. The possibilities are endless! There may be slight imperfections or small marks such as candle wax as the artisans choose to weave at night under candle light.
All our products are handmade and may have slight imperfections, which make them even more beautiful and charming.
